Funny but scary little twist on who may bust whose crap. FYI anyone who doesn't know, LRAD stands for Long Range Acoustic Device, which is a misleading name for what is actually a sonic weapon.

Here's a link to some articles on directed or focused sound technologies:

They say powerful sonic "lasers" (so to speak) are possible or are already demonstrated that can cut steel. By sonic "laser" I mean a focused sound device. I also read that versions of the units now in use by soldiers and cops have the potential to maim and kill. One pointed at someone's throat could cause a violent spasm and collapse the airway, or even crush the larynx. They also can cause hemorrhages, damage internal organs, collapse lungs, destroy hearing. Nasty devices. A more insidious usage would be in torture. In the hands of a torturer, a sonic weapon could inflict terrible pain without leaving marks. I know there's much more going on with the technology than ever gets out on CNN. They (the military, the Pentagon and the sonic weapons industry) don't want this on the news. Instead, they let out soft stories about "crowd control devices" and "loudspeakers that emit high pitched shrieks that cause 'extreme discomfort'" and they talk about "area denial systems" but what they're not telling is those are serious weapons -- and there's much more. Well, you better believe you'll be hearing a lot more about these weapons in the near future.

They proved that is possible to amplyfy sound to cause damage but they must now prove if your LRAD idea can damage objects that absorb most sound waves such as our skin. Tell them to try to buste that one.
