I don't know that you can stop having feelings for someone you've loved. I still have feelings for every guy I've ever dated. I feel differently now than when I dated them. At the very least, my feelings are less powerful, more mild.

The guys that did me wrong- I still feel unkind feelings- Hate and anger have become more like dislike and avoidance.

The guys that were good to me- I like, rather than love...

Now I'm married (going on 7 yrs), and any passion I may have felt for other men is gone. My hubby is my passion.

Indeed. I don't think you can ever stop loving someone, by choice or otherwise. I guess that's the reason so many people usually go back to an EX over and over again. It's familar but familarity does breed comtempt!

I guess that depends on the type of person you are. But I have personally never got over an ex because I usually spend 2+ years with them.

I think that it really fades with time- the longer ago the ex, the less I can remember about him. But, for more recent ones, I still feel some anger towards them:)

I'm married, have been for 9 years and I have a EX that I still think about, we did not leave each other on bad terms we had a good time together it just wasn't our time.

For me I do not think of my EX every day. I used to have only bad feelings, but know that was making my life miserable, but do not have any good feelings either.

i used to love this guy in high school i thought we were going to get married etc. when we broke i i thought i would never get over him. I just fockist on doing nice thing for myself, like hanging out with all my girlfrinds that i diched for this guy. and took up a hobby. Now 4 year later i am married to a wonderful guy. my point is if all my prayers were ancered in high school like please let him love me again. Let him know i love him etc. I would have never met my husband. I am not that relgis but i do beleve everything happons for a reason and your life is already planed out for you. so dont stress out about 1 guy just take what you have learned from this relation ship and aply it to your next one. in every realation ship you learn how you want to be treeted or how you want them to treet you. then when you find the right 1 you know what you want. Hope this helps it did for me.

there might always be feelings....but not quite on the same level as they once were....more like i am grateful for having shared special moments with them, but remembering that we broke up for a reason and life goes on.

Psychologically, our brains look back on past relationships and romanticize them. Don't worry about it, unless you can't get them out of your head.
