It was Don Henley formerly of the Eagles. It was from his 1982 solo debut "I Can't Stand Still". It topped the mainstream rock chart in 1982 and reached the top 5 of the pop charts in 1983 while the album reached #24 on the album chart. Lisa Marie Presley covered the song last year.
