Have you considered having a sleep study done? Many people suffer from obstructive sleep apnea where you might find yourself snoring and then all of a sudden stop breathing then all of a sudden wake up with a "snort" sort of sound only to resume the pattern all night.
If a person is overweight, has facial abnormalities, large tonsils/adenoids or some other contributing factor like large neck 17" for male and 15" for female can all cause obstructive sleep apnea.
The only way to have it diagnosed is through a sleep study. Treatments include: CPAP, behavior modifications, diet, exercise, etc.
Good luck and I hope this helps.

I'm kind of the same way. You musst get a good 8 hours sleep. Minimum 7 hours. You're body has to regenerate as well as your brain taking a good rest. If you've done this and you're still dosing off you might have narcolepsy. Sleeping to much could be a sign of some other kinds of sleeping disorders. See a doctor if it persist.

Take enough sleep (7 to 8 hours). Start your day with 30 minutes exercise. When you're at the office, don't stay long at your workplace. Try to move from time to time by walking or climbing the stairs to the next level of your building.

I get that too quite often. I took a day off on the couch the other day, and then got a good niight of sleep and feel better now. Another idea is eating dinner closer to your bedtime or eating more for dinner, cause hunger usually gets me up, and I wont know I am hungry until like 20 min after waking. try it it helped me alot

It may be when you wake up. i Feel that way when I wake for "working" hours. but I get to sleep even an hour longer say 9 ish than I feel SO much better and not sleepy. When I get up for 8 even if I get more than 8 hours of sleep I feel HORRIBLE.

You need to experiment with different hours to see how long you should sleep because if you sleep for too short a time you will wake up tired and if you oversleep you will wake up tired also.
If you're a teenager, I read somewhere that teenagers need 9 hours of sleep a night.

Be very active in the daytime, and try to get to sleep much earlier at night. Then your mornings should be much better.
