YES!!! If the Under God part offends anyone, then they have the right NOT to say it. I can remember being in class with kids who didn't say it for religious or personal reasons. NO ONE said anything mean to them or made fun of them. We asked them why & they gave us their reasons. It was fine with everyone.

I have no problem with the pledge of allegiance. I just don't think it should be put back while a fascist president has us in a war over oil! They might do something stupid like volunteer!! He's already taking non-high school graduates in the military!!

Alliance to what this
If I'm critical of my country's leaders, I'm a traitor. "
The horrible tyranny that is being created by the Bush junta is a threat to the entire world. For the first time in its history,
Western Civilization as a whole is in danger of being destroyed by a corrupt, criminal ruling cabal which is centered around the Rockefeller interests, which include elements from the Morgan, Brown, Rothschild, DuPont, Harriman, Kuhn-Loeb, and other groupings as well.
This junta took control of the political, financial, and cultural life of America in the first two decades of the twentieth century.
The Bush family, beginning with Prescott Bush, have served as satraps of the Rockefeller, Brown, and Harriman interests.
If some people are too unintelligent or morally deficient to see the tyrannous acts of the Bush administration, if some people are too cowardly to stand against those acts, it's still your individual responsibility as an American citizen to rouse them out of their daze.
Unfortunately it appears it will take at least one more 'al-CIA-duh'- style staged attack to provoke the populous into expelling the whole congress full of traitors and the hoards of other corporate lobbying cockroaches running around DC.
President Bush is simply a puppet of this powerful cabal, and their schemes will be carried out by whatever next president comes to power unless We the People deflect them from this insane, murderous plot for global dom-
inance.

I wasn't aware they had actually taken it out. Plus, I don't think Bush is the one to pin it on. He can't just speak and have his will be done.
I go to a private school. We still say it. During that portion of the morning, I stay silent.
I do not think he should. While I believe in our Constitution and the principles on which this country is founded, I do not support our current system of government. I will not "Pledge Allegiance" to them. Children should not be made to. Patriotism is a good thing, but instilling it in children blindly in this way is not.
Besides that, the line that says "Under God" should be taken out. It is blatantly inappropriate. I think it's fine if Christian's believe that God is protecting our nation. I don't have to believe that, or express that, or accept that. Keep your religion off of me. Thank you.

I think we should just take out the phrase "under God" since it has only been in the pledge about 50 years; unlike the Pledge which has been around over 100 years.

Although Bush himself does not have this power (or any other president), yes the PLEDGEand PRAYER should be reinstated. Check out the major shift in violence in schools, and youth crimes as our liberal government "fixed" things. While we are at it, flag burning or any other form of desecration should be seen as treason and violators shot immediately

Although i think the pledge is a good thing I think it's bad to make people recite it on a daily basis. It loses its importance. People just say it just to say it and don't think about it. Besides, I went to public school and people probably wouldn't even say it. they'd just talk to each other during it instead.

I think it would be a nice thing, and it would be nice to take measures to actually unite the people of this country. Some people in this country need to realize that they're Americans and need to start taking pride in it instead listening to the BS those ultra left liberals say.

I wish he could but that was a Supreme Court ruling. The Executive Branch can not over rule the Judicial Branch. The Constitution still works in US even when we do not like it.
