He's going to die in book 7, so that after JK rowling dies nobody can make a sequel and bring him back to profit off of her work. See cnn.com.

Clues to the seventh book...?
I've seen some clues for the previous books--it wasn't really a clue, but it was interesting.
On the first book, when Hagrid is dropping off Harry on the flying motorcycle, he mentions that Sirius lend it to him.

there's alot of clues in the book, just observed it a little... but sometimes j.k.rowling is abit unpredictable, i even cant predict what will happen next.
p/s: I did read some rumour that harry is going to die in the last book coz she (j.k.rowling) always wanted to end him as he had been in her life for so long... T.T
