I couldn't go to Australia (Kids and dogs) But!!! I did go abroad for 3 years before doing the marriage and kids bit) And it was the best thing ever (For me) Because it gave me an opportunity to discover a new country, different lifestyles also made me realise how much of a home bird i really was! Appreciate my family and friends a lot more. II loved my three years away, came back a different person, far more self-assuming than i was before and, looking back, i'm glad i did! Had i not done it i'd probably regret it today!
I did have my blue days when i would miss my family and friends badly but then ... I made new friends and came back with so much to tell! And it was the happiest reunion ever!

Ha! Well, I guess it how a person look at this. I could go to Australia for 3-5 years and work. That makes my Income Tax Exempt in America. Then I could save it, and come back here to be with family/friends and gain the valuable experience later in life and NOT have to work again. ;-)

Australia, hands down. I believe you cannot work there for more than a year or two. You would still gain valuable experience, make new friends, and learn about another culture. What more could you ask out of life?

I would choose Australia - gaining valuable experience which you cannot get 'at home with family'

Australia, without hesitation. Unless there are limiting factors I'd settle for a long holiday with your family and friends whenever you get homesick, and keep stuffing the difference in a savings account. In a few years you'll be so well placed you won't need to worry about these sort of decisions.

Australia, the family will benefit money-wise; they will benefit financially ; and you can always take a holiday back home. Many families have close family members who live over-seas , [including mine] they are only a click away, keep in constant contact via computer, telephone, and visit back home often; they never seem far away , with all the modern communications and means of travel.

Both would be a valuable experiance to me.... I would rather be in Austrailia because I get too sick and tired with my family. On the other hand, I only really true;y like my best friend, but at the moment, she is away.... So yeah

it depends on the situation...if you know that you will see your family again id take the 20k per year in Australia...but if i knew that it would mean that i would never see the family again screw the 20k...family is more important they always have your back and you always have their love....
