Have you ever been to the beach in............. South Carolina at Hilton head island at hilton head resort? What is it like? What is the resort like? i'm staying in a condo like thing i think. What were the shops like? How was everything? I WANT TO KNOW!! i am going there sometime over the summer. If u haven't been there please don't waist my time reading the stupid answers you put. It is a fantastic place! Very laid back, lots of great food - check out Redfish, of course Golf and the beach.
The afternoons usually have a band near the pool bar so show up early to get a seat in the shade. If your going to golf get an early tee time or plan on passing out in the mid day heat.
It's a confusing place at night as the roads are not marked well and it's not a Las Vegas so it's DARK. Make sure you know where your going and how to get back to the resort.
There is a great shopping area by the waterway with some good lunch spots and you can check out the boats and such. If you go anywhere in the afternoon be prepared and have a small umbrella for those thundershowers.
To the poster saying it was full of snobs or whatever they said well what do you expect, it's Hilton Head not Myrtle Beach. For $350 a night I don't want peasants around.

Do NOT do it. Hilton Head is monopolized by the rich and the wannabes and most of the beaches are "private". There are a few where the "peasants" are allowed to go but you have the feeling that you are only being tolerated. The prices in shops are Rodeo Drive. If you already have a place...well the beach is the beach and you can enjoy the view of the ocean as God made it...for EVERYONE.

Sorry, I've never been there. I would love to go though; it sounds like a lot of fun!! It's a well known resort and I'm sure that everything will be wonderful, after all, they have a reputation to uphold. Have a great time!!

i cant really remember if i've been to hilton head esactly but i know carolina beachs are always the best, i go to the outer banks every year and would never go anywhere else

No, but I have relatives in the carolinas. I've been to Santa Monica beach in California though.

I know this might look like its wasting your time, but if you are GOING to stay there, just wait and see what its like yourself. That's part of the experience of traveling let it all be new instead of making it something to expect :D
