Happiness is all relative, nobody can be happy all the time - it depends on your expectations and past experiences. Generally, if something really good happens to us, we are happy for a while, then we adapt and it takes something greater to make us happy. Feelings of well-being can be made more stable by feeling connected to other people - having close friends and/or relationships - and having some type of meaning in your life (whether it is work, religion, interests etc.)

To cope with stress (a) try to gain a sense of control over your enviornment (b) try to develop an optimistic way of explaining event in your life, especially your failures and (c) excercise (because ability to deal with stress is partly biological).

Hi,
Mainly, it's a choice. In every moment you are creating your future circumstances with your present thoughts.

Now, the challenge is your current situation may not allow you to entirely make the choice for yourself. The average adult operates on only 2.6% of their potential. To increase your capacity, you need to change your thoughts. Because they are already stored mostly from long ago, you need to overwrite them.

Here is one way: For the next 26 days, simply focus on this as much as possible: "I am at peace and amazingly happy".

Also, when you allow yourself to be stressed, you allow others to take your "energy". Remember this and it's easier to make a new choice.

I hope this helps.

Warmly,
Pam
