He used to stare at my hands as if he were in awe of them. While sitting on his cousins couch I would catch him staring at my lovingly. He would also walk into another room and lean against the counter and stare at me with his head tilted to the side and his eyes half open... He was so sexy!

It's human nature, we always remember our first loves, and as the years go by, as they always do, the memories, are softly painted in a softer glowing color, and we just remember those sweet good times. Not those drag out fights we often had.
So it's sweet times, that we remember, and it gives us comfort, when we are feeling low. We are lying to ourselves, but in a good cause, it raises our spirits, and helps us to move on, with our lives.
Sometimes we just sit there, laying back, listening to sad love songs, feeling soooo very sad for ourself, and just making ourselves, even sadder. But that to0 is a catharsis, and makes us feel better too. The human mind is a miracle at times, in coming up with ways to cope.
And you can't beat Barry Manilow for those love songs.
Darn it, she was soo good, where did I go wrong? Now see what you have done, time for the wine, and the sad songs and whining again. :)

All the time... it's weird. I really shouldn't. We broke up over a year ago and I still think about her. We argue all the time but no matter what after long periods of not speaking to each other we'll come out and talk like nothing happened. It's so weird... You never really know what you have until you lose it, I suppose. I love her so much and yet I still don't understand why.

My thoughts are this:

That person shed light on emotions that you never felt before. I think about my first love on a daily basis, wondering what he's doing, how he is, if he has found someone that treats him good, those types of things. I think that the reason you never forget that person is because in some form or another you wish that you could find that feeling you found with them.

oooo yes, young love. I remember it. It is the way your mind drifts when your just sitting there watching TV (or anything really). You start to think about times when you felt your best and he was just, well, soooo into me...lol It's when you snap back into reality and realize .... I have a huge smile on my face!!! and then your hubby sitting next to you wondering, what's on her mind. I always just give him a big hug and tell him that I love him so much. Because really, those are thoughts are what they are... only thoughts. I'm exactly where I want to be, and I wouldn't change it for the world!

My first love will forever be with me...I have known him for about 20 years and he will always be with me. I talk to him almost every day , I even make love to him. I touch him I ask for his advice. This man live with me in my world.. (my mind) I just cannot let him go although ,I have tried so many times. I am 49years old and this is one of the few thing I do believe... we will be together in the flesh again when the time is right. I have to dance with him one more time .I must taste his love in his lips again. I remember once I was hurting and he kiss away my tears.. how can I forget this man? If you want to See true happiness , just mention his name....I love you "G" I JUST LOVE AND NOT EVEN "ME" CAN CHANGE THAT..... COME HOME SOON

I definitely don't long for him, because for a "first love" the relationship sucked. But every now and then you have to think about it -- because that's why they call it the first love -- it was the first time that you ever felt that way about anyone. I think it's remember that feeling that you had that keeps you from not forgetting.

Yeah, lots...because it was a first...firsts in anything are special...whether positive or negative...we always seem to remember firsts. But those #1 loves are growing experiences in so many things. It's funny, but every now & again throughout my life, my first love always seems to find me just when I need him to...but rekindling the relationship we had...no way, we parted for good reason, but having him as a friend in the midst is always a sweet thought.

Never stopped! You will always remember till the day you die! First everything for me, I was so in love. But he moved to Texas and fell in love with the bosses daughter. I was young I tried to take sleeping pills and wouldn"t go out for a year! He did come back when his father died and asked me to leave with him . I didn"t but I will always love him and never forget the love we shared at a young time in our lives!!
