He disapears everytime he gets a pay check and I keep finding drug paraphnalla ( crack pipes) hidden in the backroom trash can for one place. He tells everybody we know is isn't using - he lives in my home, pays no rent, no food, no utilities, drives my new truck and I make the payments and pay for the insurance. He contributes nothing. The last straw was him bugging my son about $300 he borrowed and hasn't paid back - because he wanted to use it.

Help me somebody.

I'm only giving insight to your question. I am an ex heroin (powder) user. I go to counseling bi-weekly. At the clinic, they teach us that drug use is a disease. A disease that we've inherited genetically. Our parent or somwhere down the line have given to us. Unfortunately, with you not charging him rent, and him not chipping in anything, YOU are enabling him to use. You should totally stop giving him a reason to go out to get dope. A drug user is not and probably WILL NOT get help untill they realize that they have a problem. I'm telling you all of this from my heart! My father and mother are both users. Gladly to say- my mom has gotten help for vicodin abuse. But my father is still lurking around somewhere here in Michigan. My sis n I don't see him at all. I'm only 28 now. But all my life all I have gone for are guys that have used some form of drug somehow. Now that I have my daughter, I have my whole life ahead of me. No matter how much you try, your partner will not stop using untill their ready. The only thing I can tell you to do is, offer for them to get treatment. You can't make them do it. You are in my prayers. Good luck to you. Oh, on another note: keep your head high, tell them to move out. And lock your $$ somewhere safe!! Beacuse that drug is a stimulant to the body. If taken only once, your body may get dependent on this. Withdrawls usually set in if taken off of it cold turkey.

Crack is so addictive because of it's instant high.

Keep him away from other people who use. DON'T give him cash. Give him ultimatums.
