I will be in Vegas on the Fourth of July and want to know where the best view of fireworks would be? I wil be staying on Freemont St., but wil be spending some time on the Strip.

I'm sorry to disagree with everyone, but I've been researching this question for days, and none of the hotels are advertising a fireworks show for July 4th. Anthony Curtis of the Las Vegas Advisor answered this question a few days ago by saying that for some strange reason the hotels are being very quiet about July 4th fireworks, except a couple that are throwing private parties (you have to pay to attend). The city parks are having fireworks shows, for certain. There will be fireworks on July 2nd at the Stratosphere, also with a paid pool-party. Maybe there will be unannounced fireworks, anyway. You should call the hotel where you're staying; maybe they'll tell you something.

I agree with the Stratosphere, however if you stay at the bellagio you can see everything from the top floor suite, and there's a big patio to stare out, also if you're with your significant over it can be quite romantic. The Bellagio has a show, and There's a big firework show planned to go off for Las vegas at about 9-10pm. If you stand right smack in the middle of the strip it's a great view. Bring a camcorder, YOU DO NOT WANT to MISS this.

We moved out here around July 4th of last year, and I would have to say the best place to go for the Fireworks on the 4th is Desert Breeze Park. It's up in the northwest part of town - near Summerlin. They have big bands play on both the 3rd and 4th of July. Tickets are relatively cheap (you can go to www.mix941.fm for details). They're annual bash is called "Red, White & Boom". This year they'll feature Train, Saving Jane, Flogging Molly, Blue October, Seether, and Social Distortion. We have tickets that we won through Mix 94.1, so we'll be there! I highly recommend this! Plus, on the 4th (at dusk of course!) they have a 20 minute fireworks spectacular. Enjoy!

When I was there for New Years Eve, we saw the fire works down on Freemont street, at the very end. It was wonderful! It may be there again. I'm sure the people at the hotel at which you are staying would have all the details. Have a wonderful time...

I would agree with the Red,White and Boom. I myself moved here last year and attended. I have already purchased tickets for this year and look forward to it. If you can get there it is great fun. It usually brings a huge crowd. Tickets are 17.50 each kids 12 and under are free. http://www.redwhitenboom.com/ check out the details...
