If you are used to tapping the tracpad to click your mouse then the setting was probably turned off. Try clicking with the buttons around the tracpad. If they work then you should check your mouse settings in the Control Panel.

If that doesn't work you could tell me and I will try another solution.

Well, if the physical buttons don't work, you can enable tapping in your mouse settings. That means you click by tapping once on the touch pad. Works great too.

Try turning it off then back on. Or go to the mouse properties and check your settings.

Look for the Mouse Icon on the Task Bar (also known as Start Bar) and right click on it and select Tap to Click. ((((THIS ONLY APPLIES TO SYNAPTIC DRIVERS))))

This may sound dumb, but it solves many computer problems, but try turning off your laptop, and turning it back on. If that doesn't work, try uninstalling the software for your mouse and reinstalling it.
