You should go to the doctor. If it keeps on do not stop seeking medical help. I had a small bump on my nipple it itched and burned. They told me it was an infection from the suntan bed. Turned out to be Pagets Breast Cancer and I had to have a masectomy. Please see a doctor but do not stop if the itching keeps on. It could be an infection but you want to make sure. My mamograms were normal except for calcification so if it keeps on you might ask for a scraping of the spot to find out what it is-- that is how they determined what mine was.

You could have a yeast (fungal) infection in that area; try putting Lotriman cream (available at drugstores - says "to treat athlete's foot/jock itch") on it for a week and see if it improves. If not, consult your dr. Certainly not to alarm you, but itching of nipple/breast tissue in a very few cases can indicate a type of breast cancer called Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC), so if you can't resolve the issue on your own, seek professional help.

This is a very age specific question. It is common for lactating women. Gland growth for younger females during puberty. Tell me more for a better answer.

Try moisturizer? Baby powder? Sweat could be irritating them, or clothing rubbing on them. Other than that, I've no idea.
