You may have sinned but it was not only against God it was against your husband. You broke a vow that you made with him. God can forgive anything, your husband may not be able to, but you must be honest with him or you will hate yourself and it will continue to eat away at you. If you really love your husband you must tell him, not on Jerry Springer but maybe with the help of a Pastor. Many Pastors even do family counseling. If you truly want to be right with God you must also want to be right with the man God gave you. I know this sounds impossible but you would be surprised at what God will do in your life when you pray to him. Ask him for help in this matter. Be HONEST, God loves you and he does not want to see you live a lie with you husband.

Well ,just to let you know, according to the Bible, You have committed adultery, your husband has every legal and biblical right to divorce you for desecrating the marriage bed. God can and will forgive you, but just like King David, (When he sinned with Bathsheba in II Sam 11) God forgave him, but he was punished with the death of the child created within Bathsheba. I suggest you comeclean with your husband, ask God to forgive you and have mercy on you and Pray that your husband loves you enough to salvage this relationship.

If you are truly sorry and have prayed for forgiveness, yes it is forgiven in God's eyes. I think the issue here is whether you've forgiven yourself and vow not to do it again.

If you are truly sorry, then yes, I feel it's forgiven. But you would have to vow to never do it again. That's the way I feel. I mean, crap happens, but you have to learn from your mistakes. That's what shows that you are truly sorry in the first place.

I believe it is forgiven in God's eyes. Although you feel remorseful and hate yourself, the first step is to forgive yourself. You may need a spiritual counselor for this, but it will work.

The greastest thing about our wonderful Savior is that He is merciful and forgiving. As long as you turn away from sin (repent) and ask Him, He will forgive you. He throws your sins away into the sea of forgetfulness. You must forgive yourself. God loves you, that's why He died for your sins.

yes. The Bible tells us that in 1John 1:9 that He is faithful and just to forgive us if we repent (repent means to do a 180 and not do the sin again...)of our sin. Now, the hard part is to forgive yourself.

Please believe me that God will forgive you as long as you are truly sorry. Everyone makes mistakes the only One who is perfect is Jesus. He will forgive you. Jesus loves you and wants to be in your life. Let me suggest that you talk to someone you trust in your church. Do you have a Church home? Jesus can heal your heart and your marriage too. I have been in the same boat with you.

It's a cop-out to say you got swept away. You knew damn well what you were doing. You committed adultery and so you broke one of the 10 commandments. Very bad.
