ok i realy like this question answer thing, but realy i need some thoughts on this becides my own! am i the only one who thinks that this question answer things should have a seporate question answer page for kids under 18, that is supervised by yahoo that they dont put a bunch of questions that at thier age should not be putting where there are some adults that can take advantage of them? i mean realy, there are alot of bad men out there that hurt kids, this is like a play ground for them right, i mean you can actualy get peoples yahoo addresses on here, how safe is that for them? i am just concerned thats all. so what do you think on this subject?

ok i will change what i said , there are bad men and women out there not just men. but there has to be a way that they can make it safer for kids with an under 18 place to go, right? any ideas as to what ways they could make it safer? i mean if i am going to raise this question to yahoo then i need some ideas or they will just push this whole isue aside, anyone?

you are absolutely right and there should be a separate page maybe you should email yahoo about it.predators are on the rise and you should never meet or call anyone you do not know. parents also should their job by monitoring what their children are doing on the net.THIS IS NOT INVADING YOUR PRIVACY
just making sure their children are safe.

Yes, an over 18 section would be great, but what is to stop anyone from just saying they are 18, it is not as if there is an id required, and kids have been getting around those things forever. In this day and age, one would hope that parents and children are a little more careful on the net, but there is always going to be those who prey, and those who look for them.

Only parental supervision will help keep kids away from the freaks, but I do agree that there is alot of stuff on here that kids don't need to see. I've seen horrible questions that are meant only for shock value and answers of the same ilk. But again, if the parents are doing their jobs( can this site be blocked?) the kids wouldn't be allowed alone in here the way it is.

i am 13 and i no what u mean i think the same as u cause there r sum nasty questions on here for kids that r under 18 and we have like 10-12 year olds on here who dont even no what half the stuff people r writing is what they want to no yet

Definitely, this is probably in a way worse than places such as myspace. Kids are so easy to prey on here, and not only that there is too much bad information spreading throughout the site that they shouldn't have access to read!

You have a valid concern.
My option is for the parents to take some responsibility for their kids and pay attention to what they do. There's been more than enough finger pointing and laying blame, kids need to be educated about the world they play in and it's the parent's job to do that.

I agree I think that there should be a separate place for kids under 18. I wouldn't want my kids in here talking to crazy's.

This is a playground for me. I'm 37.
Seriously though...yes, there is plenty of stuff that children shouldn't be seeing that are posted on the board, and I don't think it's very well moderated at all. I'm not sure how they'd go about monitoring it any closer though. That should be parents' responsibities!

I think Yahoo goes to far with policing this site I think it needs to be closed because people should be able to discuss what ever they like and since they can't it's pretty much worthless.
