We have an 19 month old and i have to cook, clean, and everything else in the house, and all i get is a big attitude or he just hides in his room all day long. I get no help with anything not even a thank you what can i do to get him to appreciate me and maybe even get a little help.

OH NO. That sounds like what I'm going through. The thing is it will not change unless there is a huge miracle. I don't get respect from him, he's always out or in his room, he never helps out. I have to nag him about the lawn and spraying for insects. All I get is attitude. It doesn't matter what I do. My kids are now 5 and 7 and it's still the same old same old. I wish you all the luck and I hope that there is a miracle for you.

If after almost 2 years he's still not helping it looks like he never will. If talking isn't helping at least let him know you're worn out and can't take much more. Take if from someone who thought she could change the guy and get him to help...after 15 years it only got worse and he also became verbally demeaning and abusive. DON"T SETTLE. Love isn't always enough. Be good to yourself. Protect yourself and your child. Be strong and believe in yourself. There are guys out there willing to be true partners and not cave men. Good luck.
