I was numb. I walked around my town of Eugene, Oregon alone. It was like my world had come crashing down.
I stopped into the public library. Keep in mind that Eugene
is ultra liberal, and you will find many of the "blame America"
crowd here. (there are exceptions, naturally). So anyway,
I went into the library to sit down and rest my feet.
It was then that I heard one of the staffers in an office
section of the library, laughing loudly. I walked into where
the woman was laughing, and told her this was a national day
of mourning, and her laugher was totally out of line. It was
my feeling that she was laughing just to be boisterious, and to show others that she was happy that America got what she
thought it deserved. She merely gave me a dirty look and
told me that I wasn't allowed in that part of the library.
At least I said my peace, even though I know it made no difference to her.

At first, I didn't fully understand the significance of the fact. Then, when I began to understand, I felt terrified of what Bush could do to take revenge.
BTW, that's a cool link. Thank you very much.

In general, I felt very angry as well as vengeful. I don't feel nearly as vengeful as I once did, however it still makes me angry, and sad.
