well if 200 = 2x his salary that means his salary was $100

its hard to understand your question though but just because it rose 200 doesn't mean it was twice his salary because it could have been $300 i'm so confused check ya later ♥

You would have to know his original salary to decide for sure.

Example 1: His original salary was $200, then they increased it by $200 for a total of $400. In that case his new salary IS twice his old salary. (200 times 2=400)

Example 2: His original salary is $100, then they increased it by $200 for a total of $300. In that case his new salary IS NOT twice his old salary. (100 times 2 does not equal 300)

Let x = Jaun's salary

x + 200 = 2x
-x = -200
x = 200

therefore, his salary is $ 200.

Are you asking what his salary is??? So...
Salary + 200 = 2(Salary)
