what does it take to become one and do you think aaliyah haughton was a good role model why,? my role model is myself because mny whole family is screwed and my cousin is a 25 yr.old sleeping with everybody, my sister slept with my brother best friend in 2003,my brother is too stressed i think his girlfriend is poisoning him, he have too many kids, my youngest sister is a hoochie mama,my youngest uncle is dying,my two aunts died,my mother try her hardest to be a good person,my fat uncle, is just plain stupid,my family don't talk, no family reunions,my oldest uncle do not come to see us at all, no parties, and i need a role model,i'm `15,and don't know what to do!!!!

i'm not hiolarious i'm serious , i need to go into big sister little sister program, and i have 6 nieces and nephews and i'm only 15 my oldest nephew is 11

I truly believe that teachers can be great role models. I had a teacher in high school, Mr. Starrat and let me tell you he cared about his students. To be a role model you just need one thing... heart. Sweetheart you can look to teachers, guidance counselors, principals, police officers, firefighters, auto mechanics, cooks, waitresses, sewer workers, anyone. As long as they have a heart and you can see the good in them the are role models. My advice to you is get your education and become a role model. I think that you are on the right path by recognizing early what you do not want to do so go do the right thing. Once you have your education NO ONE can take that away. Focus on school. Get involved with after school activivties, volunteer at a local shelter. One thing that I highly recommend is going to a nursing home. Find someone that doesnt have any family and listen to them. Elderly people have fascinating stories and lessons and who knows you may find that role model you are searching for. Good luck sweetheart and keep looking towards the sun.

I know you're going to think this "religious", and corny, but you should have Jesus as your role model. Think of all the crap he indured, and yet he was a wonderful person! If he can take dying on a cross, then you can indure the pain of having a separated family. Stay strong, don't give up, and always look to Christ for encouragement.

My role model has been my grandfather Joe--gone for some time now---a marvel of a man--vet of WWI---Texas farmer and for lack of a better word---pioneer---hard worker--well thought of because he was straight up honest and caring--miss him to this very day

Sorry that your own family is not providing you with someone to key on for the input you need---but nothing says that you have to take your role model from blood---look around and find someone that you can pattern yourself on at least somewhat-- don't get so carried away with it that you forget to leave space for the YOU in all of that--room to be yourself and add yoiur own balance to it all---you'll do just fine----the best to you

maybe you could look into some type of big sister program where you live. Also, you should try going to a church, you can surely find a good role model there

i really like bill gates cuz he stood up 4 himself (being a nerd) and did something really great with it (become the richest guy)
