He is a great bowler himself. No doubt about his ability as a bowler. But dont know his ability as a coach. Great Players may not be a great coach. There are many instances to prove this. But neverthless he can pass his many skills as a bowler to the next generation players. I think Pakistan can afford to try this. He can turn around things for his country.

Yes a great man like Wasim Akram should be Pakistan bowling coach for world cup 2007 but he should be appointed now.
As Pakistan have a battery of fast bowlers and he being a fast bowler himself he would understand the psychology of fast bowlers than Mushtaq Ahmed who was bowling consultant recently or Bob Woolmer who is a batsman. He knows when a bowler feels low and how to help him overcome that depression.
Moreover he has a great knowledge about the game ,about the technical aspects of bowling so the breakdown of the fast bowlers would decrease as minor adjustments he will make would be helpful to bowlers in retaining their fitness and speed.
Playing cricket for a long time at international he will be able to give their bowlers tips regarding different match situations and bowling in different conditions in different parts of the world.
OUT OF 100 I WILL GIVE HIM ATLEAST 99.

NO..He can not be offered any coaching jobs by Pakistan Cricket board at any level of the game following a life time ban imposed by court of law as a result of unanimous verdict that came out in match fixing probe.

But India would love to have him..I live in USA and have many freinds here from India..and I can say one thing for sure that Wasim is respected more in India than he would ever hope to be treated the same way in Pakistan.

Sorry buddy...you had your chance and you blew it!!!!

Honestly I'd Say an 80. He was one of the best in his day, but we'll have to see how he coaches. Hopefully his experience in his own career will help the team prepare mentally and physically for 07.

I hope he will do good for pakistan since he had more experience in playing worldcup for 3times and this experience
tells under what conditions what type of bowlers want to use. now a days during india tour also they lagged in bowling. so, i hope he will do good in part of bowling.

HE WOULD BE POSSIBLE BEST BOWLING COACH AMONG THOSE WHO ARE AVAILABLE NOW.

BUT,
I DONT THINK THE PARTIALITY OR POLITICS WHICH IS RUNNING NOW IN PAK. CRICKET WORLD WOULD PERMIT HIM TO COACH THE TEAM.

IF HE APPOINTED AS COACH BY OVER-LOOKING THOSE HURDLES, WILL TAKE THE TEAM TO FURTHER TOP PLACE THAN ANY OTHER PAK. COACH.

EVEN THOUGH, HE CANT MAKE PAK. TO WIN WC'07.
