My friend came back to school after the holidays, and I knew her parents had broke up, and her little brother had died of cancer, and she had all these cuts all over her arms. I asked her what they were and she told me she cut herself. I was horrified, but she just said it takes away the pain. She tells me she does it every weekend, and I really want to help her. Please give me some suggestions. And don't suggest to leave her and stop being her friend, because we r going to stay friends. We are both 14.

Secretly call the police or inform someone. Steal her knives, steal her heart, steal her person, whatever you can do to buy time and keep her away from knives. Better yet, put her in some sort of confinement, jail, or just keep an eye on her. Just do not let her do anything stupid.
Threaten her that if she cut/kill herself, it cuts a pain in your heart. It hurts so much that you can not fall asleep at night. If she kills herself, then it will takes away a friend from you. That is selfish.
Also, buy or give her something she likes.

No, I consistently circulate to the hairdresser. that doesn't consistently assure a good result nonetheless, a fact to which i will attest after a haircut I had 2 days in the past. i'm not too happy with the haircut i've got have been given, and that i will't wait till it grows back.

tell her she needs to get a life cause she's just hurting herself. tell her to go to church. same story to me exept i didn't cut myself. and my parents divorced when i was 5.

of course you shoiuld stay friends with her, she needs real help, more than what you can give her. if you cant talk to a parent of hers, try one of yours....talk to a teacher. this should not be kept a secret. stand by her....she needs you.

k, i had the same problem.You need 2 site down with her and tell herhow you feel about that and wat it can do to her and wat its goin to do if she dont stop. Tell her how much she means to you and to other people. tell her everytime you cut your self i am going to slap ur cuts.tell her nothing is worth cuting themselves for.
