I think that the Colts are going to be very dangerous this year after the way that they got put out of the playoffs. They learned last year what my Steelers learned in 2004, no one cares about the regular season, its all about playoff football. Now that the Colts have learned that the hard way, look out. The Bears arent getting past Dallas, Carolina, Seattle, Redskins, Tampa.

The Bears there D is waaaay better than that of the colts and anyone who says their offense is no good, isn't looking at it right. Last year the Bears offense had a rookie who started the season as the 3rd QB play the first 14 games, they lost their # 2 Wideout early on and the # 4 overall pick RB Cedric Benson missed all of training camp. This year they have everyone back from injury and they added a solid # 2 at QB. The Bears will be the class of the NFC

Bears

Offense: Grossman (in his limited experience) still gets more respect from defenses than many other experienced QBs in the game. Griese as a backup solidifies that position. Thomas Jones hammered 1335 yards and 9 TDs on the ground. Cedric Benson and Adrian Peterson will easily add to the rush offense with their change of pace styles. Muhsin Muhammad will pick his game up with Grossman at the helm, plus Mark Bradley, Bernard Berrian, Airese Currie, and Justin Gage all vying to lockup the #2 WR spot. This corp of WRs has been acknowledged as one of the fastest in the entire league. While the TE position has been in question, Desmond Clark and Tim Day seem to be impressing the coaches in Chicago. The offensive line is also returning intact and ready to hold back the defensive lines.

Defense: Speaking of intact, this unit returns whole with a few additions that only bolster the roster. Ricky Manning Jr. will shake up the secondary easily, as will draft selections Manning and Hester. Urlacher and Briggs will lock in the middle of the field, and the front line loaded with Ogunleye, Harris, Brown, and Scott will shatter offensive lines. Vasher and Tillman will continue to wreak havoc on WRs along with the new acquisitions.

Special Teams: Robbie Gould has a strong leg and continues to kick like a mule. He should continue to build on his success this upcoming season. Bernard Berrian and Devin Hester will likely split duties as kick and punt returners, with Rashied Davies covering their spots if need be.

The Bears will run through the NFC North. They will have an interesting test this season against New England (who loves to pick up ex-Chicago players when they hit the waiver wire ... notice that their defense improved when Roosevelt Colvin, Ted Washington, and Keith Traylor went from Chicago to NE). Miami should be an interesting game, with Chicago knowing how Daunte plays the game and will now be running the Miami show. The other AFC East teams (Buffalo and NY Jets) shouldn't pose much of a threat to the Bears. The NFC West showdowns should prove more of this team's mettle, especially against Seattle. They also get to grapple with the NFC East NY GIants and NFC South Tampa Bay Buccaneers. If Chicago builds a strong regular season record and wins key games, the playoffs will be better for them than they were the last time around.

I even think the Bears could improve on their record. Perhaps that his a second consecutive double digit win record (I am thinking 14-2).

Bears, if there D can hold up b/c w.o Edge the Colts are one-dimensional. Kind of like the Eagles last year.

Colts, they still have a great offense and a decent enough not great defense. The Bears offense is bad. Defense keeps you in games but offense wins games.

The Bears will be great because they are in the worst division in football. Unless the Packers comeback to their old ways in the 90s with Brett Favre no on will score on their Defence in the NFC North.
