I too am 51 almost 52. I have been licensed for 32 years as a cosmetologist. I had a Mobile Hair salon service in
Memphis for 13 years. I was self employed and loved it. I made a pretty good living and was helping the homebound. I did only the homebound. I reported my earnings and had many articles in the newspaper for free advertisment. Honest business is good business. I got ill myself and had to close, I do plan to reopen though.

I think I am pretty good in the PR department. Why not stay in Hairdressing but do something totally different. Where do you live? Would someone cutting hair in the middle of the street in a major city business area attract attention? Do you own your own business? Get into doing home visits. Maybe there is a cross dresser out there that wants to dress in women's clothing and get his hair cut. He would not have the nerve to go out in public. etc. etc. Let me know how you do!

Honey, start your own hairdressing salon. You're old enough to have the experience and maturity to run a business. You can get a loan to start a business from the Small Business Administration, an agency of the federal government.

I also difficulty about a terroristic warfare coming to American soil for the time of my lifetime. 5) My advice to someone youthful than me will be no longer to be terrified of existence and making blunders. I waited too lengthy to experience many stuff and ignored out on assorted issues because i become too chicken. you need to make blunders with the intention to study from them. stay existence to the fullest.

If you are a hair dresser for 33 years I'm assuming you have your own place. I would try getting into something more hobby like. Try dog grooming or art work...or how about writing.

Depending on the field you want to get in to, you may have to go back to school, maybe for business or education, or even look into certificate courses in school,

But what? The only thing better, especially where your age is concerned (absolutely NO offense intended), would be opening your own place.

Sell Mary Kay in your spare time. You can have so much fun at the parties, and all your current customers would probably buy from you because they trust you.
