A person cannot change their sexuality from gay to straight, no more than a person can change from straight to gay. A person can, however, CHOOSE to live a gay OR a straight lifestyle. THAT is the only choice that can be made. A person can choose to be intimate with the same or opposite sex, but they cannot change their core sexuality. Experimentation with gay/straight/bi sexual encounters is normal, and additionally, is a choice. Anyone that tells you that a person can change is lying to you and themselves.

No. People are born the way they are born. You have to play your hand with the cards you are dealt. But God does not give anyone a cross that they can't bear. Gay people are children of God and have just as much of a chance of getting to heaven as anyone else. Maybe even more so because they suffer more. Being born gay is painful. Why would anyone choose it? But there are lessons and blessings to be learned. Gay people need to accept who they are, pray and try and have God in their life.

SURE YOU CAN. If you have the desire to do that you can make that choice. We all have choices. You must have made the choice initially to go "gay". You can now change your mind and go "straight." I think you are a brave person to reconsider your choice. Perhaps a pastor or clergy could give you the support you need. Good Luck.

I think alot people who are gay are only gay because of sex. Gay people get bored with straight sex and jump on the I'm gay movement. Since when did being gay was so in?

Not if you are truly gay. Sexual preference is not a choice, no matter what people say. It is just part of you. If you truly are gay then no you cannot just switch. You can try to trick yourself into a certain situation, but that preference would always be in the back of your mind

If you like chocolate, you can't just say "I'm not going to like chocolate anymore. I am only going to eat vanilla." you can stop eating chocolate, but it doesn't mean you will change your mind about chocolate or like it any less. Vanilla can never be chocolate, and you will always be thinking about chocolate while you are eating that vanilla. I hope that makes sense to you.

can you change from straight to gay if you really want?

No. Sexual orientation is a mental identity, not a physical one. A homosexual who refrains from having homosexual sex is still a homosexual. You can always choose to stop doing the activity that identifies you as that orientation, but you cannot change the feelings that you have inside. Believe me, I tried.
