I call" them" a person who really in their heart, did not want to do you the favor. I call you "wise" to recognize that this person did not want to do you the favor and you will never ask this person again for anything. I call it "find a way to pay this back" so you can get this person off your list.

I'm kidding, of course, but only half-way.
*Some* parents go onandonandonandon about how many sacrifices they've made for the child, how much it hurt to give birth, and all sorts of other things; and often--instead of acting grateful (which is what the parent wants from the kid)--the child will peevishly say, "Hey! I didn't ASK to be born!"
