Yes, it is because they are words that offend people, but they are just that, words. Swearing shows incompetence and it does not make anyone cool or look big.

ok well god knows everything. so if you say dang he knows you meen damn so y not just say the real word? if it scares you thats weird because almost all normal ppl swear. i swear all the time but i still belive in god and stuff. i go to church every sunday and i belive if you use dang instead of damn its like trying to lie to you and god because you think its ok to say the "non cussword" even though its just replacing one. no point in ding that so just be yourself.

Well wrap your mind around this, if you don't swear, you die.
Swearing is essential, so learn to live with it. You will go crazy trying to keep it all in.

I normally think that someone who swears just doesn't have a large enough vocabulary to express their ideas properly.... or.. they just have a tough time controlling their temper and they can't think of anything else to say.

i think in the context of calling some1 those names is rude. but so is calling someone ugly or retarded. it hurts either way. but i dont think using swear words ina context that isnt directed at some1 is alright i guess. like saying "shes a B..." is wrong. but saying "this situation is Effed up is ok cuz its not directed at some1"

depends on the age and depends on the swear word. i think that somebody that was bored just decided one day that certain words are bad.

swearing is verbal taboo.a forbiden language.it is not good or bad just offensive to some people.
