I would bet that most of them don't plan of having too many kids, it's just that they can't afford protection and/or birth control.

This is a touchy subject, but here's my opinion i was just recently thinking about this subject again, especially since Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have been trying to save babies and family's in general, In Different country's. I seriously think that these people should be offered birth control methods, as well having there tubes tide as well as histerectomys if needed to be. These women and men should be serously adviced on this subject and giving birth control (condom) for diseases. Of course not forced.

Oh I agree all the way!! I can't stand seeing women with 5 children fathered by different men and using food stamps to pay for beef jerky and a mountain dew it makes me sick. I feel for those children though. My co-workers complain about never having money but they pop out kids like it's no tomorrow it's gross I myself get asked when will I have more children because I only have one and I simply am honest. I tell them that while their working overtime to feed all their children I'm enjoying the one I have.

I have no idea..maybe it has something to do with being uneducated or getting a small check and other government benefits.. I don't know..
I guess some couples who are poor, have children just because they want them and love them.. I think that is just fine. That is their choice and their right.
But I do see what you mean and I wonder that myself.:)

Another possible reason is that these siblings may be able to help one another later in life. I know that I have both received help and given help. We might be short sighted when we say they have too many kids. However there are others who undoubtedly are just irresponsible.

Historically and demographically, poorer people have less access to health care and education, which in turn results in less use of or incorrect use of birth control. This is extremely evident in the poorest areas of the world in Africa and other places.

Because they get more money with each child they have. The more children you have, the more money you get, so there is no incentive to stop having babies you can't afford! Sad but true scenario!!
