does the lower price of the computer mean less value of it

Not necessarily. What you have to see is how many memory has the computer with less value, there will be some cases where the computer can be really cheap and with good memory, so always watch the GB or MB or the computer you are going to buy.

As previously stated, not necessarily. Sometimes vendors have more supply of a certain computer model, and they need to get rid of inventory because a newer model is coming out, so they will lower the price.

i would compare features to make sure you are getting the same features as the other computers in the same price range. If you have the same hard drive space, memory, etc, then you can always ask the vendor why the price is lower than the comparable model.

Not really, you sometimes pay more for the big brands, but a lot of other brands,less famous, are just as good. I would recommend you to check online reviews for that particular computer and see if negative reviews come up with the same issues over and over.

At this point in technology, not really. You pay extra for all the bells and whistles so to speak. But for under $500 you can get a pretty good system.
