YES!!!
Holy CRAP!...What kind of a jerk do you work for?
Firing someone during a party, Christmas, birthday or ANY pleasant event is socially and business wise, unacceptable
behavior and bad judgement.
Whoever is planning to fire you at that party is going to fire you the next day, anyway, so you might as well say your farewells at the party and celebrate!
HAVE FUN!!! You don't want to work for a jerk like that anyway.
Good riddence!...HE'S DOING YOU A FAVOR!!
ENJOY THE PARTY!! For crying out loud!

It's a very strange way of getting someone fired. I think that's something that should be address at the office. If you are sure you are going to get fired, I probably wouldn't go. But, if they are going to fire you, they will do it no matter if you go to the party or not. So it's up to you

There will be other parties you can go to or crash. If you get fired for going to a party it won't look good for when you're trying to get another job. They will think you will skip off work any time there is a party and they won't want an employee who won't work or take his job seriously.

Go and have a good time. If you get fired, atleast you can collect unemployment while you look for another job. Doesn't sound like a great place to be working at anyhow, if the person that is going to fire you, can't bring him or herself to do it at the work place.

Yes, because by law if your going to get fired they must have an evaluation on you and they have to tell you what you did wrong. If you show up to the party and get fired you can get unemployement with out that company trying to fight it, or you can sue the hell out of them.
