Why does society feel so much anger toward them? It's a two way street you know and considering the way society has treated them in the past and continues to treat them, well if that was you wouldnt you be angry?
Oh and for Julia above you are spouting nothing more than homophobic myths (and no I am not calling you a homophobe i'm just saying that you are ill informed). Gays do not live on average 30 years less than straights. The minority status they have is not for behaviour its because they have a minority sexuality. You see, even if they do not have sex (and some dont) they are still gay because they are attracted to the same sex whether they act on it or not. That is something they havent chosen and what gives them their minority status, not any behaviour that they engage in.
And one last point, gay sex is no different to heterosexual sex accept it is between people of the same sex. Gays dont do anything in bed that straights dont. Straights engage in anal sex even more than gays do. So if gay sex is not natural, neither is straight sex.

Is that your impression of gays? Hmmm.
I think that the gay community actually enhances society and, if they are vocal, it is only so that they can enjoy the same rights and privileges (note I wrote "same" and not "more") as heterosexuals.
Understandably, they also get p!ssed off when, for example, provocative questions are posted; that do not permit any credence to the validity for the existence of said gay community. This is a normal reaction, if provoked people tend to respond angrily and/or defensively.
The same is also true of the lesbian, bi- and trans- communities.
I don't think that this qualifies to imply that these communities HARBOUR anger. Would you consider re-stating your question or qualifying why you think we're all so angry?

Let's see........
2000 + years of Christian Rape, Torture and Murder of Gays might just have something to do with it.
Kick a dog enough times and he has a tendency to bite back.
It's that simple.
As for those who say it's against Gods law or the Bible, consider that none of you are God and the Bible is basically hearsay from centuries past (that means kiddies no one can be sure what was actually going on, all that translating and convenient rewriting and all).
Truth be told Gays are not angry with society so much as society can't stand the fact that a group of people whom they have tried to eradicate over thousands of years just won't up and die for them, and are now flexing their collective muscle by saying "Never again" and "no more".

Most gay people do not harbor anger towards society.
However, when you have had violence perpetrated against you so many times, both in actions [people bashing you] and in words ['christians' spreading hate about you] some days you just get fed up.

I harbor no anger toward society -- however, anger is harbored by those who have been hurt and abused the most; and sometimes, by their families. Most gay people however do not harbor such anger.

I really wish I knew. I believe that the "noise" is so loud because anytime people are feeling neglected, mistreated and their concerns are not being met, they squawk - (even a baby does this) however, the anger is probably because so many "straight" people appear to attempt to deny rights to this group when people all over the world fight for their rights. But, what do I know? It's just an opinion.

That's quite presumptive of you to post such an inane query. Anyway....
May I suggest you posit the same question to the radical right wing bible-thumping bigots? If you do, THEN we can talk about anger, not to mention their fears and insecurities that we (the GLBT community) will somehow destroy their already pathetic and crumbling marriages. Have you seen the divorce rates recently?! LOL....like they need OUR help to infringe on the so-called "sanctity of marriage".
I find it amusing to see them writhe and squirm these days. Hardly anger from this camp. Mostly humor and a lot of good laughs at the other side, though.

Because some of them (at least) have chips on their shoulders, and feel the need to flaunt their "alternative sexual lifestyle" and throw it in people's faces all the time.
And because they think that engaging in "alternative sexual behavior" entitles them to protected-minority status. It's the first time in history that BEHAVIOR has ever afforded a group of people such a status.
It's also because they think that their sexual behavior is just as natural and normal as heterosexual sex, despite the fact that it cuts a good 30 years off a man's life span -- and will demonize as a "homophobe" anyone who points out that undeniable truth.

Because we are the last minority it's completley ok to defecate upon. Because you can only be afraid of violence and harassment for so long before you're done with afraid, and you get right bloody pissed that you've had to be afraid for so long. Because basic rights that everyone else gets, the no-brainers, have to be fought for, and hard. Because when we get one tiny piece of the internet set aside for our community, straights invade it and defile it and make it no longer safe.
The same reason anyone gets mad at anyone else; society has injured the queer community. Why shouldn't we get angry?

Hmmmm maybe we feel tired of being manipulated by instigators like yourself.
Most homosexual people I know are not angry maybe it is just you that brings that out in people. I imagine if you really look around you will find that it is not just the homosexuals around you that are angry.
Just a thought. Have a nice day.
