I look for:
1. Good sense of humor. Can laugh at himself.
2. Intelligent - able to hold a conversation about a variety of subjects. This person would have to be well-read.
3. Good communicator. A person who is able to talk to your Grandmother and make her feel comfortable, and talk to the President of the United States. That takes some doing. He would have to be able to speak the language -
4. Knows how to carry himself no matter what skin he is in. In other words -if he's skinny, he has a swagger that make women swoon - and if he is portly, he can still have a swagger that makes women swoon.
5. Has the ability to make me feel good no matter what is going on. Sensitive, kind, nurturing, likes animals, can cook, smells nice and works steady.

Handsome, Athletic, Funny, Smart, and a great personality. I look for 5 things instead of 4, and I already met a guy who has met all 5. In great personality that also means has to be nice, loving, and sincere.

I can't speak for all women, just for myself. Personally, I would have to say I look for conviction/strong beliefs (even if somewhat different from my own), treats others (not just me but also family/kids/pets/subordinates at work) with dignity and respect, strong work ethic and a sense of humor :)
