My aunt got pregnant at 43 and 45 with my cousins. As long as you are healthy and aware of the risks involved, I see nothing wrong with it! Why not? 40s women typically are going to be better prepared for a child than a 20something. Your career is established, your home is established and you've outgrown the need to be out partying every weekend! Of course thats an overgeneralization, but I've found it to be true. Not to mention 40s are more laid back than 20s. Im half way there and can see myself as a far better mother than I would have been 10 years ago and can only imagine it would improve in another 10 and I pretty much thought I was the $h1t 10 years ago!! LOL
I say go for it!

I think I'm jealous!
Well, actually .. if it's the first baby then there's more of a risk of it being born with Down's Syndrome or other defects. If you're in the first world countries then you probably have plenty of great health care to identify those things. Also pregnancy is a helluva strain to put on a 42 year old body .. I would think it would be like having a serious illness for 9 months. Hmm .. I don't think Im so jealous after all.
If it's not her first child, then it's much less of a problem.
If you're asking from a cultural or social context then it's really no one's business but hers if she wants to be a mother at 42 or 52 or even 62. The world sticks its nose too much into everybody's business.

I got pregnant at 42, and had a beautiful, healthy baby! I chose to wait for marriage and a more stable life (I was too crazy and selfish in my 20-30's) The only thing I will say is the pregnancy is easy, it's having the energy to keep up with them as they get bigger and more energetic.

well you just got a late start, or didnt use protection missy. There's nothing you can do about I hope abortion is not a suggestion if you are and don't want it I'll take him/her.I have a 6 month old and thought i was to young and i'm thankful that my husband got the abortion defanition out of me, I don't know what i would do with out her. But my aunt had a baby at like 45 and already had 2 grown boys and the new baby was fine nothing wrong with him but spoiled, and if your afraid of something being wrong with him/her we cant do anything about it leave it up to god he knows what we need and what we don't just depend on him for a healthy baby.

I am sure, you also think it is a normal thing.., mere 42 age is still a too young age in Asian side. Here in our Country normally 70 years womens also get pregnant and she delivered baby without any being complication to be faced.

Nothing different than getting pregnant at 22. If you are healthy, and your doctor clears your bill of health. Go for it. Do be aware, however that you will be pushing 60 before the little one even graduates High School. If they opt for, say a medical career, you'll be looking at 72 before they even start to practice.

It's not unusual now-a-days. Medical technology and prenatal care is very advanced. Only someone 16 or younger would find 42 "old". Just make sure that you're in perfect physical healthy before conceiving.

To each their own..
And I'm not really sure why these people are saying gross to people having babies at 42..Just because you enter that stage of your life doesnt mean you stop having sex..lol...obviously these people are younger and maybe they are just imagining if their parents were having kids..
But I say go for it..it's you life..as long as the baby can be brought up healthy and happy it doestn matter...There are some 18 year olds that can parent better than 40 year olds...age doesnt matter..as long as it can be healthy and happy..
Good luck!

Giving birth to a new life is indeed a blessing which almost every woman would wish to have. How to get pregnant naturally https://tr.im/I83SJ
Enjoying the feeling of motherhood and raising a family would surely be a couple’s dream. Some get it naturally, while for some others things don’t seem to work as they desire. These reasons which stop a women from conceiving can be due to either physical reasons or truly physiological.

I believe if your healthy and feel like you can do it then go for it. Many women are waiting later to have children these days. My sister is 34 and is pregnant with her first child. Now, I on the other hand, am 23 and gave birth to my son when i was only 20, but it was the best thing I've ever done. I would rather have mine younger because I would feel more able to keep up with them energy-wise and want to be able retire early with them hopefully out of the house by the time I do so my husband and i can enjoy each other!
