The latter 70's or early 80's, there was this comedy program. It was one of those half hour shows. There was this young man that lived with a cousin or something like that. He was a goat herder from some far away place and his brother, (cousin) worked in some mail place. A real funny show. This cousin spoke with a funny accent. What was the name of this show? The only thing that I can say that might help is, the one that had the crazy accent, was also the one that worked in this high class art museum in the beverly hills cops movie. A detroit cop went to beverly hills to catch a killer. This museum guy is the one that was in this program. this is really bothering me. Can you help? Remember, it was a comedy show and this guy with the accent was a goat hearder. What was the name of this comedy???

The name of the show is "Perfect Strangers", The cousin´s name is Balki Bartokomous, played by Bronson Pinchot.

Balki Bartokomous, a sheepherder from the small Mediterranean Greek-like island of Mypos, travels to the United States in search of his relatives. He finds his cousin, Larry Appleton (played by Mark Linn-Baker) who has recently 'escaped' from his large-sized family and is reveling in the unaccustomed luxury of having his own room to himself. They end up sharing accommodation in Larry's apartment - even though the two cousins could not be more dissimilar. For, while Larry is panicky, hyperventilative, business-like and mercenary - Balki is placid, unharried, sunny-natured and idealistic.

Perfect Strangers isn't that old of a show. It was part of TGIF on ABC I think. I used to watch it all the time when I was a kid. It may be syndicated somewhere.
