San Jose is a ginormous city, so you'd have to be more specific. Firstly, it is bordered by two major thoroughfares: 101 and 280. (We Bay Area people don't use "the" or "Highway" or any other words for those two freeways - just the numbers). Both go down the peninsula from San Francisco. My parents prefer 280 because it's faster and prettier. One could also use 880 and 680 if coming from the East Bay. There's also Highways 17 (from Santa Cruz), 85 (from Gilroy or Mountain View), 87 (which goes between 85 and 101), and 237 (which will take you from 82 on the Peninsula to 680 in the East Bay). You can also take VTA (Valley Transportation Authority, which is the light-rail/bus system for Santa Clara County), ACE (rail service from Pleasanton/Stockton), Amtrak, CalTrain (which serves the Peninsula from San Francisco to San Jose), or even fly there from a number of airports in the United States.

Honestly though, I've been away so long I may go wrong and lose my way. But I've got lots of friends in San Jose. There'll be a place I can stay.

From here, the best way is down Highway Nine to Felton, then take Mt. Hermon Road to Scotts Valley, pick up Highway 17 northbound and do it! Or, if you like twisting, turning mountain roads, go UP Highway Nine through Los Gatos to pick up Highway 17 and onward. It is also possible by taking Bear Creek Road, I think.

The more appropriate question, however, is "Do you know the way FROM San Jose?" It's a big, hot, noisy city.

San Jose is the last Island in the Pearl Island, which lie in the bay of Panama. It's a paradise, the largest private Island left that is for sale. I tried to buy it and start a viable caring community there, but people ruined my giant project. I sang that song on the Island. I was 'The Island Man.' My atempts to make a caring community were filmed and reported by every newspaper in the world, i was flying when they shot me down in flames. I still have the song though!!! Tony, in remotest Isan.

Sorry you're on your own. Reminded me of this -
Can you tell me how to get, how to get to Sesame Street?
Did it ever bother you that a children's show that is trying to teach children preparatory academics would use an incomplete clause in it's title song? "Can you tell me how to get?" How to get what? And get? A absolutely ambivalent verb. Get what? Get real? Get a disease? Get a joke? Now I get it. Get it? Get out.
