Here's my situation:

i'm Asian, female, 20 years old, with an MBA. I'm a Senior Consultant at D&T. My total annual compensation is $88,000.00 (that's salary + bonuses + investment package). I think I should be paid more than that. Maybe $10K more. I really feel some companies out there are trying to rip off females and minorities, and especially if you're both. Am I being underpaid? (Only serious answers, please).

Hey, Mr. "Johnnie Quest", i got news for you, buddy. Yes, I am. And, like I said, just answer the question seriously, and stop phishing for attention. Remember: Don't be a hater, okay?

20 years old with an MBA would be impressive. Really anybody could go through undergraduate in 3 years. Some schools have MBAs that take less than a year. So, it is definately possible. Where did you get your MBA? Where are you employed?

My advice. Find your closest competitor, make a phone call. Tell them that you bust your *** for this company and dont feel compensated for it. Ask if they would be willing to take your experience with a competitor and up your salary. Its worth a shot.

We can't answer this directly because we don't know what the quality of your work is, nor do we know what other consultants at your firm make. But if you really want to know the answer, you can find out yourself by sending out your resume and going on interviews, and seeing what you get offered. If the offers are consistently higher than what you're making now, then you can probably get your current employer to pay you more.

My gut is that you have an inflated idea of your value. Most people your age do. You have obviously not been in the working world very long, given your age and education, so you have very little job experience. But as I said, I don't know this for sure. If you're a true prodigy, and really worth more money, a few interviews will tell.

It is good never to be satisfied.
You must be good.
I think you are probably getting a bonus for being an Asian female! Just being honest.
You can make much more but at some point you assume risk.
Are you now?
If not, quit complaining and find something better. $88,000 is not bad!

If I were asking a question that says something not so wonderful about the company I work for, I would be sure that Yahoo Answers doesn't display my first and last name. I hope someone doesn't report you to management at your company.

No you're not underpaid! You're only 20 years old and you're making $88K! That's a lot last time I checked.
