How many people have ever overdosed on pot? How many more people die from drunk drivers than high drivers? It just doesn't make any sense.

I don't know, but I'll tell you this; I can smoke a "joint",and still be able to go on with my everyday routine, thus drinking alcohol, will screw up my entire agenda. I've never woke up in the morning with a stomach ache or hangover, because I smoked a joint. Someday it may become legal in the US,but until then,I'll keep my "Dime",my Malibu & Orange Juice, along with a side order of Rib Tips for my "Munchies". (lol)

The government tried to outlaw booze with prohibition. It didn't work because booze was a common commodity. Marijuana was never really socialized, so it was outlawed because there were fears that the brain wasted away on marijuana. However, marijuana is attributed in many more "high" drivers than you would think. God Bless America.

Alcohol has a huge American history to it. Marijuana is imported from countries that we don't look upon highly. Money is in both products. Monopolies are illegal here in the U.S. but does not include competitive business with foreign countries. So, go figure. God Bless you.

Because we dont need another drug to become legal and make more accidents and stupid people. Just smoke it illegally like everyone does and accept that its not legal. And of course there are going to be more accidents with drunk drivers because alcohol is legal.

Terrance McKenna has a good theory. Marihuana subverts the Masculine, Ego Driven energies that alcohol supports and exaggerates.

alchohol has a lot of history to it, and it's more of a traditional thing. Marijuana is associated with hippies and generally trashy things. Also, alchohol can be good for you! red wine is good for your heart. Also, in the 20's or 30's, i can't forget, they tried to make alchohol illegal and the result was a lot of rule breaking, which lead to more crime. that was BAD!

I agree. I think both should be illegal though. I'd still drink though. I don't get high but I have and I know that people are more co herant on weed than alchol.

theyve already tried....prohibition was tha 18th amendment in 1919.....they repealed it in 1933 by the 20th amnedment....i think it was cuz ppl would sneak it in and sell it secretely in speak easies or somthing like that....it was too hard to enforce although some alcohol was allowed thru a prescription from the doctor like whiskey....over a million gallons of alcohol was attained by americans thru prescriptions....actually al capone was one of the biggest bootlegger in the country.....i guess americans luved beer too much to give it up.....
