Follow these simple steps and you can quickly and easily make a cd full of your favorite files (Windows XP):
1) insert a BLANK CD-R, or CD-RW into your CD-writer drive.
   • learn more about CD types @ http://tinyurl.com/rfdec
2) when prompted, OPEN the blank CD.
3) Open your 'My Pictures' or 'My Music' or any other folder.
4) Minimize (the middle button located @ top-right should be a large square) both windows and then drag the files from your PC onto the blank CD
5) In the menu at left in the blank CD folder, click on "Write these files to CD"
that should have done it!
if you need more help, try doing a quick web search!

You should be able to do this on any CD-R, using the right software. Group all your .jpeg and .mp3 files together, highlight them all and click properties. The trick is to NOT exceed the storage space maximum of the CD-R.
From there, burn the .jpeg files, then the .mp3 files on the same disk.
Once done, go to MY COMPUTER and double click the CD icon. You'll see the disk's entire contents, with icons for either video or music.

I would use a cdr-rw because anything you put on a cd will be the same format that you put it on, but in saying that i think nero has i mixed format thing in it that you can put music and pictures and it wont change your music to mp3 format, but if you make a data disc in nero it will make the music files convert to mp3 and you will only be able to listen to music on something that plays mp3s

customize your cd writing procedure. most writer software has this option like "make a data cd" or "make an audio cd". you can probably click on the former but if you can manually drag both your pics and music folder to the cd writer driver, the better. and that' it. do not copy your audio cd (that is, if you choose make an audio cd option) as is as well as you might not be able to put other non-audio files on it.

if you mean burning a CD with pictures and music in it I don't think it's possible unless you have professional software that will launch your pictures when you pop the CD in your computer and play the music when you're in your car.
