I am told that the plant is a flowering plant and gets to be @ 15 feet tall.

I am never sure about the spelling, but Draceana plant are a large family of plants, from the little spike you put into mixed containers with geraniums in the spring to the huge CORN PLANT that looks almost exactly like corn and when it is mature and in the right growing conditions flowers on a spike that shoots up from the top of the plant.

It could also be some types or ornamental grasses. Run a search and look at some pics to see if its that.

I believe you are referring to Canopys. They are tall green or red leaf flowering plants with red flowers. My mother has them on both sides of her front porch.
