Never name it after a person that you know, you're going to have your new machine for a good long time. Go with something that fits the style of music that you want to come out of it, or something that you would never name a dog. I've got 14 guitars now, and my favorites are Slash and Wylde. They're both Les Pauls

don't name it after a person unless you're married to them or are sure you're going to be friends or whatever for a long time because you're going to have your baby for a long time. I name some of mine after songs that really mean a lot to me too. it'll give you something to think about.
