This happens without I even try to use the Word software.

This error is due to some of the files are not INSTALLED. Meaning if you try to place a graphics and you have a graphic library missing then it will ask for a disk. Simple as that. There for when you Install Microsoft Office Install it as CUSTOM and choose RUN EVERYTHING FROM MY PC.
IF YOU DO THIS NO MORE ASKING FOR DISK AGAIN.

Do you have the software? This may be happening by a corrupt file in the program files for your program. If you do have the software, try UN-installing from your control panel, and reinstalling from the disc. Or you may need to purchase an original copy. Hopefully this helps, thanks.

I heard this is happening to some people with illegal copies of Windows. Just a whisper on the wind.

do you have word installed?
it may not be installed right, try re-installing it,
or just put the disk in, and leave it there.
