We can.

Wait you tricked me.

You dog.

You wanted me to answer this didn't you? That way you could laugh at me for answering a question about not answering a question.

Damn reverse psychology.

Bet I look childish.

Bet you're enjoying that too.

You probably want me to continue.

It would probably suit you right if I stopped right now...

....Damn it! I'm weak. I like to answer questions, you evil tormentor you. You think you are smart. Maybe you are. So why are you questions? Uh Huh. Whose the bad boy now?...

...Damn it, you did it again. Now I'm asking questions. You really are smart! So cool, so silent, just sitting there reading what i type. Are you proud of yourself? Damn, I did it again.... You are the devil. All hail this new force of evil. Wait if you are the devil, this must be hell. Planet Yahoo is hell. That explains everything.
The devil is making us do it. Yes.

The power of Christ compells you, The power of Christ compells you,....

Was that witty enough for you?

I actually began thinking that there would be a bunch of challenging questions for me to ponder on the site. I quickly realized that the bulk of the questions are (a) rather nonsensical, (b) chilishly inane, or (c) lame attempts to get someone else to do your homework. (Yes, I'll admit that I have helped with some of the apparent homework problems.) I'm still hanging around looking for the few good, thought-provoking questions, though.

Plus, we are competitive. (Wasn't it Nietzsche who wrote about the competitive nature in humanity? See--this does relate to the philosophy topic!) We like to think that we can (a) come up with a better answer than others (b) faster than they can. So, rather than watching TV all evening, we sit here refreshing the screen, hoping to be the first to pounce on that new question when it is posed. (I just hate it when the question has no answers--but there are a dozen posted by the time I get mine thought out and typed!)

Most importantly, however--and particular to this particular forum--we find a place where our philosophical training might actually pay off. In the "everyday" world, most people don't get philosophy--they don't even know what it is. (If you have any doubt, just survey the questions that are posed under this heading.) But here we find others who are capable of deeper thought, and it is fun to see their answers--even if we never strike up a direct conversation with them.

Because we feel the pangs of hunger to know more and more, we participate in the question-answer forum. Information boils down to knowledge and knowledge boils down to wisdom (vidya). Vidya liberates from fetters of life and liberation is the ultimate goal of every human being. Therefore, we cannot stop answering and asking questions in "The Planet" Yahoo.

I like the interaction, and I find the people to be educated, cultured and pleasent. Most of them have a love for society too.

Because, there are some really stupid people out there, and I feel like if I answer some of their questions...I'm ultimately helping out the world.
