My Chevy is loosing water, but I can not figure out where it is going. I checked the oil and I checked the tail pipes, nothing. I checked the hoses. I changed the thermastat, not leaking there. I don't see puddles under the truck. Does anyone have any ideas?

if it,s a 4.3 you should run a pressure check on it,,they was really bad to blow head gasket,s,,in the left lower corner,,but you will not see it,,and probably not smell it,,but it is enough to cause you to have to add about a gallon a month,,depending on how much you drive,,maybe more,,and it,s usually the driver,s side that does it to,,mine did this for a year,,and i knew what it was just didn't have the time to fix it,,but finally did,,depending on how long your,s has been doing this,,you may be having to add more anti-freeze,,not to bad of a job to fix though,,good luck,,hope this help,s.

Head gasket or if its a V6 in could be the intake manifold. Its burning the antifreeze.
If you pull the spark plugs you will probably see a couple plugs with a build up of residue from the antifreeze.

dont use water or green stuff to begin with. your chevy need a 50/50 mix of DEXCOOL (its orange). my astro had a cracked intake gasket, that will show up as a milky swirl in your oil. if your just putting water in your ride, its evaporating.... but dont use water, too many minerals in it and it can speed the rusting raction in your radiator. otherwise the coolant is being fried by the cat.

the only water in a car as far as I know would be in the radiator,but that should be combined with antifreeze in the summer so it should have a green tint to it.

you lose water through your sweat glands, and when you urinate. be sure to keep yourself topped of at all times. use straight water, maybe a little alcohol.
