Why so many people are taking Saint JOhn's Wort???

I have so many friends who started taking Saint John's Wort around the same time.....last year in June/July period......
Does anyone have a clue what is the reason behind this???
I can't believe that everyone is going through the rough period at the same time. Iam talking about 15-20 people

Life is stressful and it helps to keep one on an even keel. if you knew of something that could keep your nerves from getting in an uproar, wouldn't you take it? It is sometimes told that anything a dose of warm sunshine would work for, St john's Wort would work for.

St. John's Wort is for depression. I'm not sure why so many people would all start this at the same time unless you know a lot of people. For people with mild depression or anxiety the St. John's Wort helps relieve some of the stress and ill-feelings.

We have more pressures on us right now than ever before. We are constantly bombarded with images telling us we need this, we need that, this is good for us, that is bad for us. I think we are driving ourselves insane. And what do we do for it? Go to the doctor and have him prescribe a ridiculously overpriced and unneeded drug that will cause more symptoms, requiring more drugs, and on and on. St. John's Wort is an herbal remedy that will not increase the need for more drugs later on. I wish my sister was taking that instead of the Xanax, or whatever she is taking right now. Also she needs to get rid of her husband which will greatly improve her life and she wouldn't even need the herbs. lol

I don't think its odd that so many people are taking SJW. More and more people are realizing that the suffer from depression, etc... SJW is cheap, readily available, and a mood enhancer. Some people take it who aren't suffering from depression but want to boost their mood.
