My pick goes to Buffon. He was only beaten by his teammate in a very unfortunate own goal.
During each game he showed to be very calm and assertive with the defensive line without ever being caught out of position on crosses or shots. The fact that he didn't have to make any spectacular/sensational saves, indicates great sense of position.
He has been very confident on crosses, corners, and one on one situations. This tournament I haven't been impressed by any player in particular, but Buffon struck me for his continuity.

The best goalkeeper played just 15 minutes. It is Rogerio Ceni from Brazil. Not only the best goalkeeper in the world, but also the best free kick shooter. He will score in the final.

SHOVKOVSKYI is the best keeper so far!! he helped his team through a 0-0tie against Switzerland in the round of the sixteen to reach pks where he he saved 2 pks and had help from the cross bar on a 3rd. he showed that he was able to withstand the pressure of a high-pressure situation in his nation's (UKRAINE) 1st ever world cup. They are on the quarterfinals and I'm sure he and his team wont dissapoint.

I'd have to say that for me, at this point, it's between Dida and Shovkovskiy. S's 5-5 on penalties was superhuman, but Dida has made an underwhelming Brazilian side (for what we all know Brazil should be) into a favorite to win it all. Ghana had so many chances today, but Dida was perfect. I think Brazil would be out by now if not for him.

Do you think scenario for this cup is already set up, or will be set up upon the development not in the pitch but in the offices of FIFA officials, sponsors and government agencies to make sure that everything will be smooth for both corporate sponsors and governments?
Or do you think corporate establishment and governments really allows 22 ball kicking youngsters to decide the event which is effecting life of millions of people?

there have been mnay keepers performing at thier best, but it comes down to who has committed the least amount of mistakes. So far i think the Brazilian keeper Dida has done a great job in goals conceding only one goal. You have to understand that keepers are responsible for the setup and stratergies used in the defense. The keeper is responsible for all communications in the back line. he conceded one goal and that was a good goal by the japanese who had a good keeper as well.

I think that Gianluigi Buffon is the best goal keeper in this World Cup because the only goal that has been scored on him so far over the duration of four games, was one that was accidentally shot by one of his own team mates.
PS. woot go Italy!!

Shovkovskiy! It might seem biased because I am a supporter of Ukraine, but he really is amazing. Especially during the match against Switzerland! Saving from penalty shots is the toughest it can get and he didn't let one in! And he is soooooooooooooooooooo cute :)
Poland's goalie also impressed me a lot during the match Germany vs Poland.
