Board is only couple months old but wont stick dart no matter what tips are used. Have installed o rings and better shafts. Have tried mounting the board solid on the wall or using foam strips behind it.

if it a soft-tip board then it is very common. the tip of the dart has to go straight in one of the holes to stick. the impact of the dart should still register a score regardless if the dart sticks or not. Don't forget that in soft-tip darts there is a limit on the weight of the dart which is 16 grams. that is a very very light dart.

My brother has a electronic dart board with soft tips, and most of the time it wont stick in... but on the board it still counts the points. I prefer using steel tips, the only bad thing is if you miss the board... your wall takes a beating... But if you board is electonic, you shouldnt have too much to worry about. If i were you though, i'd get the regular board, with steel tips, my parents are trying to sell this house and i passed up a nice new board for 10 bucks...
