It was probably your space bar causing all the trouble. Sometimes when it gets stuck, it can cause a page to scroll up and down. Also, consider the possibility that it might be the "pgup" and "pgdn" keys, or a faulty keyboard. For example, I have a keyboard that I bought so that I could share one keyboard between my Mac and PC. Sometimes it glitches.

It probably was the hamburger that you just ate. (L.O.L) No, I don't know. I've never heard of random mouse movings, but hey, from starring at the bright light of the computer screen for such a long time, things do look like they move because you're probably dizzy. I thought that the screen was moving just last night, until I realized that my eyes were blood shot red and burning like hell.

I've never seen a computer do that before, so I'm going with ghost and even if it's not a ghost it's still fun to think it is

one of 2 things.
1. you have a virus, and someone remotely has access to your computer through this virus.
2. your computer monitor is going out, or your video card is going out. however, that doesnt explain how the mouse was moving, so i'd say its the first one.

Is your mouse pad glossy or matte textured ? if you have one of the newer mouses with the laser light it will reflect into the mouse laser entrance and make your mouse act like it has a life of it's own....otherwise then check the power connections to your tower...Or just maybe someone is trying to communicate with you...have you recently had a loss?

The only time my screen ever did that was when I had a virus, and someone had tapped into my computer. After that I got a very good virus protection and fire wall.

It sounds like a problem with the flyback or horizontal hold to me...Nothing supernatural.
Now if it levitates off the desk, I'd start to worry.

If you have an optical mouse, and its not wireless then it will do that because of the sensitivity of it and the tension of the wire.... thats the only explanation.

it happens. If there is information that can't be displayed on a single page, sometimes it automatically scrolls. It does that on cell phones with text messaging too. Don't be afraid.

It is probably a radom thing, you dont have to be scared. Check your computer for a virus, then if its ok just forget about it.
