DOG!!!!
Ive had indoor cats and outdoor cats. Indoor dogs and outdoor dogs.
Cats: Shed alot. Get into alot. Sometimes tuff to train. Shred furniture. Dig in plants.
I dont find coming home to things pushed off of shelves and boxes full of poop all that pleasing. The only cats I will have are cats that stay out of my house and hang around the barn.

Dogs: Many breeds dont shed very much, some dont shed at all like Schnauzers and Poodles... poodles are even Hypo Allergenic. Most dogs enjoy being trained and love your presence. Dogs are often more mobile (can go for walks, most are happy to travel in a car, play outside). Seriously... I think dogs are awesome!

Cat, if you like low-maintenance but still cute and cuddly. Dog, if you want a "buddy" who needs attention and treats you like his master.

My personal preference is for cats, because they're not high-upkeep, don't need to be walked, can be left alone for extended periods, and don't stink (they're self-cleaning...no need to bathe them unless they get into something). They can be very affectionate, but aren't necessarily as needy as dogs are. It's all in what you like.

I would have to pick a cat. Some reasons are they are mostly independant animals all you have to do is give them food and water and clean up after them. Don't need to be taken outside to do their "business". That's why I LOVE Cats!!!

Cats most definitely cats. Much easier to take care of.

depends on what type of person you are and how often you are home and willing to spend with them. dogs need more attention and cats can be alone a little longer. but both need someone responsible and caring.

I wouled have to say a dog.Mostly because they are both dependable and reliable. They also become very close to you and devolop a special relationship with their owner that's almost impossible to understand. They are very smart to and learn tricks and learn meanings of words. They also are loveable. I do like cats but they can't be trusted because they make horrible messes and claw everything in sight, plus they only want to be your friend when it's convienient to them (when THEY want attention.)
