Let me see... where to start... I am divorced... and remarried. My Ex has been married a total of 3 times. His 3rd wife can curdle milk when she talks. Her and I have NEVER gotten along, even during the 6 months of psychotherapy we had to endure by court order. I didn't have a problem with the lady until she tried to convince me she was there when my son was born... (Never knew the lady or her ex, which my ex felt he should break up another family). She would introduce my son as her own. Yet when her kids came to visit, my son got the "back seat". I would go to pick up my son for our weekend visit and her kids would be outside, and mine would be inside. Never in 3 years before I got custody, did I ever pick him up where he wasn't outside playing. I tried being nice, and syrupy, and all that other non sence. What finally worked was getting custody of my son, and the judge telling wife 3 to remove herself from the decision making process in regard to a child that wasn't hers. It took her 4 weeks after loss of custody to realize she was only married as a babysitter.

He's gonna have to deal with her. Or you can just say "f*ck it" and go for a guy with no kids. I think the latter is better, as these blended families don't work. Against nature unless the ex is dead.

Put a smile on your face everytime you see her and be syrpy nice. As far as the dealing with goes, that is his job. Never say anything negative about her around the kids. They are a part of her and no matter how much you dislike her, it cannot reflect on them. It wouldn't be fair........

Tell yourself you are going to be the better person for the sake of the kiddos, but don't let her run over you.
