Monogamy is marriage (or commitment) to one person. We do it cause I don't need any other man than the one I got. There's no one out there who is better for me.

Monogamy is being faithful to one partner.
Historically, it means having one partner, period, throughout your entire life, and being completely faithful to that partner.
More recently, though, people tend to have what is called "serial monogomy", which means they have relationships with just one partner for a number of years, then break up and go into another monogomous relationship.
People do it because it's the only way to have a relationship built on mutual trust, respect and friendship, which is the best and most fulfilling kind of relationship.

Monogamy is the practice of only being married to one person at a time. The other option is polygamy--like those guys out in Utah that have more than one wife.
We do it because it's the law--and because we choose to be committed to one spouse.

having one mate. that's the current way it should be. that's how God wants it. I wish it wasn't though, cause there's a few classes and tastes of women i like!!! I'd like to have a few wives up in my house!!! Don't tell my wife i said this!!
